Racecar Engineering

We are proud to collaborate with Racecar Engineering, one of the world’s leading motorsport technology magazines, by contributing a series of technical articles on aerodynamics and CFD.

Aerodynamics is often surrounded by speculation. Through this partnership, our goal is to bring clarity by presenting genuine results that help readers better understand the fascinating world of vehicle aerodynamics - information that has historically been inaccessible to the wider public.

F1 2026 Regulations

An in depth CFD Study with real insights.

In this issue we cover:

  • How 2026 regulations reshape the airflow around the car

  • The transformation of the wake structure

  • Potential impacts on performance and opportunities for closer racing

F1 2026 Aeromapping

A sensitivity CFD study with actual results.

We take our F1 2026 model across a whole range of Ride Heights and Yaw angles to analys how it will perform under real conditions.

  • We analyse the yaw sensitivity of the car

  • The performance drop with RH is evaluated.

  • Rake sensitivity is evaluated a guess in teams setup is explained.

F1 2026 Overtaking

A two-car CFD study of drafting cars

In this issue, we perform 2-car CFD simulations to evaluate the loss of performance of the folllowing car.

  • We evaluate how much aero load is lost by a drafting car at 1 car length.

  • The results are compared with the ones provided by the FIA for the 2022 car - providing some promising results

  • The flowfield and effect on aerodynamics is evaluated.
